We had a good day for walking with little wind to start. Gordon, Lynn and Nichola met us at Whareroa Farm. We set off from the cement path through a small amount of forest and through Ramaroa Bush where we stopped to take a photo of the Ghost Tree. We continued on through bush until we reached farmland and multiple small stream crossings winding our way up to a group of small rocks before the steep incline to The Rocks. This was as far as I was taking everyone and after break for a snack we proceeded back the way we came. Gordon decided to continue on up to The Rocks and come down the ridgeline so we waved goodbye to him. We saw some baby goats frolicking along the pine tree fenceline above us on our way back.
Once back Judith, Lynn and I decided to go to a cafe in Paekakariki. Nichola had to get away as she and her husband are in the throws of packing up their everything to live in Christchurch.
