9 of us enjoyed a rather mixed day of weather walking the Te Aro Piko walkway to the car park at the end of Greys Road. The weather overhead was showery at times, windy, cooler and then we had sunshine. Along the walkway, we were surprised to encounter a flock of White spoonbills (Kotuku ngutupapa) A number of us had not seen them at the estuary on our previous walks. After a number of photo's being taken, we continued on our way to the car park. Once we arrived at the car park, we found seating and enjoyed snacks and drinks. After our break we made our way back to Pauatahanui and enjoyed drinks/treat at the Groundup Cafe. Our walk covered just over 10km.
