Due to the weeks weather I had to cancel the Ridge track from the twin lakes at Te Marua to Kaitoke because of mud and slippery conditions. The forecast was for afternoon rain on Sunday. I decided to do the Moonshine loop walk from Moonshine Road to Totara park and back via the river trail, to avoid the rain. There were eight walkers in total and we all had a very pleasant day and avoided the rain.
