We met on a beautiful morning along Stokes Valley Road at 9.30am to extend the walk slightly and warm up for the hill climb within the grounds of the Buddhist Monastery. We enjoyed a really good look around the buildings and grounds, which we found very peaceful.
We walked up hill to the Stupa where we had a wonderful view over the valley. From there we headed into the bush, where the track climbed steadily and then levelled off making our way around the end of the valley. We eventually came out on the other side and had a snack break in the Monastery grounds enjoying the sunshine and peacefulness. We were asked in for a cup of tea, but we decided to continue on our way back down the road to the cars.
The majority of us then went for a cup of coffee to the Tumeric Cafe, within the Stokes Valley shopping precinct.
