Sunday was the perfect day to explore the Eastern Walkway. The group made great time and arrived at the Atatürk Memorial earlier than expected, where we stopped for lunch before continuing along the track. A few uphill sections and stair climbs led us to our lunch spot, but the stunning views made every effort worthwhile.
Several beautiful bush sections along the route provided welcome shade during the warmest parts of the day. We also took a couple of small detours—branching off onto Bowes to admire Beacon Hill from a distance, then continuing onto Sidlaw Street before rejoining the main trail and making our way back toward Seatoun Village.
