8 of us set out on the walk up to Cannon Point Trig using the now open track from Tulsa Park. The day overhead was a very warm summer's day, fortunately we had a very nice breeze coming through which was most welcoming.

Once we came off the newly built steps and viewing platform, we crossed the road to start the short climb on the newly made zig zag track, we then crossed part of Three Skulls Road to start on the existing track to take us up to the Trig at the top. Once at the top we had a break for some refreshment. There are views of the Hutt River and over Upper Hutt, unfortunately, now somewhat restricted owing to the over grown vegetation. We then made out way down the track to 3 Skulls Road and then carried onto the track that took us out past the new sub division. We walked along the road and made our way back to Tulsa Park. This was followed by drinks and food at Mitre 10. Most enjoyable day and seeing a face we have not seen for some time.
