There were 13 walkers on Sunday (Judith, Sue & Rob, Helen & Mark, Suz Best, Linda Mountford, Veronica, Janice, Delphine, Gordon, myself, and a newbie Nichole), we had a very pleasant and easy walk from the Main Road at Otaki-to-Otaki beach along the river.  Some of us chose to get their feet wet to get to the beach while others took the long way round. We met up at the lookout and had a snack break and then walked to the beach to see the kite festival in the distance.  We then walked back to our cars and went to Reds in Otaki for coffee.

We walked approximately 9.5 kilometers, it was sunny with a slight southerly wind and everyone was in good spirits by the time we hit the cafe!
