Friday 9/4/22 had auspicious weather, as the trampers arrived at Braemar lodge.
RJ caught up with them prior to dinner, walking to and from the accommodation. It is a tramping club after all !
Saturday started with the heritage walking tour, which was good apart from being given incorrect info by the isite.
I wish I had taken more pictures for this, including of the steampunkers in their normal saturday attire !
We parted ways, then had afternoon tea at RJs. The only complication was RJs kiln sale ! The sale went without hitch.
We met again on Sunday morning and went for a cruise on PS Waimarie, which was the highlight for RJ. The weather was nice but there was a cool breeze. The boat had a good number of passengers. RJ had not been on the paddle steamer previously. It went up to the cycle bridge at Upokoranga then returned.
I would recommend the cruise, and probably the heritage walk also.
