10 of us met at the car park located just before the start of the Remutuka Incline Track. On this day, we had a prospective new member, Angela. I hope you enjoyed the walk and the company. The day overhead was amazing, nothing but sunshine all the way. We started with a road walk, made a left hand turn onto the glider track, which was very open and offered little protection at first. However, this has changed a lot with the trees giving a lot more protection from the sun. We took a break at the glider strip and then continued on to the turn off for Goat Rock Track. This track is a gentle rise and fall, great under foot, bush covered and a very pleasant walk. Our next turning point was the Remutuka Incline Track. On this part of the track, we stopped for lunch/nibbles. After the break we made our way to the car park. One of our walkers, Anna, decided a bike ride was what she needed to complete her day. The rest of us retreated to the Te Marua Golf Club for tea/coffee.
