13 keen walkers met at the Light House Cinema car park, Pauatahanui for a forecasted sunny walk around part of the Pauatahanui inlet at 10am. Our route took us through some of the Wild Life Reserve adjacent to the car park. An ever-increasing number of water fowl calling this area home added interest to the route.
We stopped for morning tea several kms. into our walk at Motukaraka Point. Regretfully it started to rain making coffee at Round-Up Cafe a better option for the dark overcast prevailing conditions.
Despite the wintry changeable weather, it’s always so good spending time walking and chatting with Club members and friends.
