4 club members set off on this walk along with Jan (UK)who is currently
visiting with family in New Zealand. Weather conditions were certainly
autumnal, wind, showers and finally sunshine. This is a very good track
to walk in wet conditions as it is an all-weather track. The start of
the track is tree lined with housing on one side of it. This is followed
by open rural area with stock and large planting of feed for the
animals. The track then takes you down along to the Greytown railway
station. Before stopping for food and drink, the Masterton train came
through pulling all the extra carriages to Wellington to get folks home
during the peak hour period. After a stop for drink/nibbles we made our
way back to the cars. From there we went into Greytown for coffee and
 treats.
