6 of us did The Te Whiti Riser walk on 28 Aug 2025. Conditions overhead were overcast and cloudy. We started with a brisk walk as it was rather chilly and it wasn't too long before we were warmed up. We made our way to the lookout at the top; however, we did not stay to long as the wind had picked up and conditions became rather chilly. We made our way down onto the ECNZ track, found a sheltered spot and stopped for drinks and nibbles. We then carried on along the track until we made a right hand turn to make our way back onto the main track. Making our way back to the car park, we encountered a few light showers and fortunately we missed out on the heavier rain that followed when we were making our way to California Gardens for hot drinks and treats.
