5 of us enjoyed a great walk on the Orongorongo Track last Thursday 13  Feb 2025. In our group of 5 we had a prospective member and hopefully we  will see more of her as a member of the club. Hope you enjoyed your day  Shelia. Conditions could not have been better with a wonderful summer's  day and the beautiful bush covered track that gave us protection from
the sun. We made good progress to the temporary track that now takes you down to the river. One walker went down to the river to take photos, on  her return we had lunch and had a fun time showing each other how our  phones took selfies, some with a hand wave to activate and another by  pressing the photo button, then waiting for the count down and then
the photo automatically taken. Refreshment stops both ways were had at  the half way swing bridge. On return to the car park, we then made our  way to California Gardens for drinks and cake.
