Another great autumn day as 5 of us set out to do the Te Whiti Riser
Track. It certainly was cooler walking through the track covered in bush
as the sun was not up quite high enough to filter through. Once we were
closer to the top and the track was more open, it certainly was a lot
warmer and some layers started to come off. Once at the top we stopped
for a bite to eat and liquid refreshments. Whilst sitting there admiring
the views over Wainuiomata, the Hutt and Wellington, the wind picked up
so we decided we would make our way back down the track to the car park.
This was followed up with tea/coffee at Californian Gardens. Very
pleasant day.
