What an amazing day three of us had to walk the Keith George Memorial
Track - Manor Park Loop. Conditions could not have been better under
foot or overhead. Starting on the track there is some road noise from
the motorway, however, when climbing this soon disappears and you then
take in the beauty of the bush you are walking through. There was little
noise from the cicadas, even thought it was a very warm day. The creek
crossings were not an issue as there was very little water running. Once
we came off the track we made our way to the Manor Park over bridge.
Making our way to the over bridge you have track and road walking. Very
good views towards Silverstream Retreat and Stokes Valley. Once we came off the over bridge we made our way back to Silverstream. Completed our walk using the walking/cycle track running parallel with the Manor Park Golf course. We had lunch under the Gums overlooking the course. We then made our way to our cars parked in County Lane. We had walked 8.5 kms.
