Four of us enjoyed a pleasant day walking the Te Whiti Riser (Denise A, Judith, Maddie and Lorraine S). The conditions overhead varied from being overcast and sunny. Upon reaching the top, the wind had got up and was really quite cold, therefore not a great deal of time was spent sitting at the table to admire the views. The Kaikoura's had a good covering of snow and looked quite spectacular from our view point. A lot of the bush had grown up and some of the views had been obscured over the Hutt Valley. In some parts the track was quite muddy and greasy, but overall the track was good.

We were very lucky to have a special guest with us who has not long returned from a 3+ months overseas trip and no doubt some of you can guesswho that was - yes we had PUFF! He had to held onto tighly as the wind was rather boisterous and we did not want him being picked up and carried off somewhere.

Lastly, we finished up at California Cafe for food and coffee.
